Issues Standing Committee

The Issues Standing Committee was established to explore topics of interest and provide a Democratic perspective to those topics. The Committee members include individuals from the Calaveras County Democratic Central Committee, the East Calaveras Democratic Club, the West Calaveras Democratic Club, and other interested people.

Health Care Happy Endings
 New Zealand’s health care system still allows for happy endings.
But what about the U.S.?

Providing health care to everyone continues to be of vital importance. Overwhelming medical bills are one of the biggest causes of bankruptcy in this county. Some seniors have to choose between medications or food. Families risk serious illness because they cannot afford to take their children to a doctor.
