Calaveras County Democratic Club

The Calaveras County Democratic Club was chartered in May 2012.  Along with the Central Committee, members are focusing on bringing ALL Calaveras Democrats together to work on the issues important to us, and to have fun in the process.

Efforts of this Club include the following:

  • Organizing social and informational activities of interest to Democrats.

  • Publicizing, advertising, and advocating for Democratic candidates, causes, and activities.

  • Increasing the visibility of Democrats and building the number of registered Democrats in the county.

  • Having monthly meetings where Democrats can share ideas and support one another.

  • Working in conjunction with the Calaveras Democratic Central Committee on activities.

Valley Springs Music Festival

The Club had a booth at the Valley Springs Music Festival on Saturday, May 28.

In spite of the weather, there was a good turnout and we had an opportunity to talk with fellow Democrats from throughout the county.

We registered a couple who recently moved to Valley Springs from Tampa, Florida, and a new voter who just turned 18.

We also sold some of our wonderful Mother Lode Democrats shirts, signed up volunteers for the Habitat for Humanity build this fall, as well as shared information about activities being held over the next several months. (See the calendar page for more information.)

It was great to talk to so many and get such positive feedback about the what Democrats are doing to be heard all over the country.
